If you find an apron you love, I suggest you snatch it up as all aprons are one of a kind!!
My mother taught me to sew when I was 9 years old. Always a tall
girl shopping for commercially made clothes became an unending
battle for us. Smartly she showed me how to sew. Making most of
my clothes in high school was really fun as I learned how to
match plaids, make bound buttonholes and fun and fanciful
outfits. I did alterations for years and continued to design products
to sell.
In the late 1980’s I was asked to help sew costumes for a local
community theatre company in the San Juan Islands. I did it again
the next year and that was the end of my alterations business. I
went back to university and received my Masters in Fine Arts in
1995, all the while working around the United States in various
shops sewing costumes: the Santa Fe Opera, Carelli Costumes
in NYC, Denver Center Theatre, Seattle Opera and the San
Francisco Opera.
In 1998 I moved to Eugene, OR and have been here ever since.
I started selling my aprons at the Eugene Saturday Market 19
years ago and have enjoyed the community and the customers.
Being a member of the oldest outdoor crafts market in the country
has been an honor and a pleasure.
Now you can buy those same aprons you’ve seen at Saturday
Market here on my web site. They are one-of-a-kind so if an
apron resonates with you don’t pass it by.
AnnaWarrenDesigns sells at Eugene’s Saturday Market from the first weekend in April through October every year at 8th and Oak, known as the Park Blocks, from 10-4. We are in booth 114.
In November the Eugene Saturday Market becomes the Holiday Market and we move into the Lane Events Center through Christmas Eve at 13th and Jefferson, in Eugene. We are in booth 49. We open at 10 am, Saturdays and Sundays.
